10/30/17 - It's Our Time
This week was really good. We are working hard and doing great. My comp., his name is Elder Aviles, he's from Ecuador and a good man. He's been out for about 8 months and we just get along great. It's really funny because Elder Stodmeister is here with me. We've been together for the last 8 months, him as zone leader and me as district leader but now he's in my district!! hahahaha it's the greatest!
We are working a lot with part member families and we are working hard. It's tough man, there just isn't the will for a lot of people. The stake president came and called all the leaders together and shut the door and BOOMMM just went in on it - was amazing amazing - it's our time lets do this!!!!
We went exploring today and found this abandoned stunning beach house and a farm plus the animals from the other day. It was great.

10/24/17 - Let's Do This!
I'm out of Lima!! I'm in a little town called Huaura and it's so great!! It's so green up here! I'm about 2 hours north of Lima and really close to the ocean. We played soccer on a field that was legit on the beach - it was amazing! And it cost less than 3 dollars for all of us together to play for an hour. Peru es lo maximo. I love the openness here. I almost started crying the other night because we were walking and I looked up and saw more than 5 stars like in Lima - instead there were thousands!!!! I haven't seen stars in over a year... it's good to be in nature, it's good to be where the sky is blue and there are animals. The other day we were searching for a reference and ran into a farm. We talked to the man whose farm it was and he let us pet his baby cow. He was milking a cow by hand, walked over and grabbed a plastic cup, dipped it into the milk, and gave it to us to drink! Five second old warm bubbly milk -the maximo!!!!
It was crazy and kinda sad though because when sacrament meeting started there were only 13 people in the whole ward... oops. It should be a branch but there are a lot of priesthood holders, they are just all inactive. It's all good - let's do this! I love you all and I'm happy to be here. The church is true and read the Book of Mormon!!!

10/16/17 - Si Podemos! (If We Can!)
This week was really solid. We just got back from the ward. We had p-day and it was really fun, we balled out man - it felt so good to play basketball again even though I'm so weak and I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn hahaha. It was great. Peru has a big chance to go the world cup for the first time in 40 years! Everyone is pumped!!! si podemos!!!!!
Transfers are here and even though I don't know yet for sure that I'm leaving, I have more than 7 months here and I think I'm gone. I've honestly changed and grown so much here in Zapallal. I'll always love this ward and the people here. It's so hard to say goodbye but it's so much fun to start new and fresh - to get to know new people.
This week I've been reading a lot and I'm just so grateful for the ability to learn and grow. I love Neal A. Maxwell with all my heart. I invite all of you to download some of his talks - they are amazing. You're gonna learn SOO much!!
The mission is true and it's the best. I love this work and all the scriptures are true!!! Read them!!

10/9/17 - Vamos Peru!!!
This week was really solid, kinda crazy, but it's all good. First, we had interviews with President. Every 6 semanas we have a one on one interview with President for 10 minutes. It is so great - I love President.
Family Loyaza got married!!!! And I brought Camilo!! We did divisions and I brought Camilo - he is so great. He is going through horrible times right now - please pray for him. Anyway, it was a giant group marriage and there was a couple who got married wearing Peru soccer shirts hahahahaha Peru has a chance to go to the World Cup for the first time in 40 years! Vamos Peru!!!
We baptized Adenela and it was really special. Her parents were inactive and she went to church with her grandma. We went the harder route and re-activated her parents and now they are making plans to get sealed in the Temple. I love this work!!!!!!

10/2/17 - It's True!!
This week was amazing! General Conference was the best!! The fastest 10 hours of my life. I have no idea how it passed so fast! I loved the talks by Pres. Eyring - he was incredible. I just want to work harder and help more people. The Book of Mormon is true - it's true!!! Elder Nelson is wonderful. I hope President Monson is doing okay. Elder Hales lived an amazing life. The last talk by Elder Anderson was wonderful - I felt the spirit so strong. I know that they are all called of God.
This church is true!!!! I love the Book of Mormon. I invite all of you to read it with real intent and you will find answers to your questions. We also need to study the talks from Conference and learn from them. The talks of the prophets are so important - it's getting crazy out here right now. I know that we can do it. I love this church.
Please pray for Nill Alegre. He has his mission call to Colombia but he has doubts and his family and friends are all attacking him. Please help him - he's going to be a great missionary!!
We went on a hike and it was wonderful. I LOVE being outdoors. I just love nature and the peace of it all. No wonder in the old days men went to the mountains to talk to God. I am so grateful for this church and all the teachings we have. I love this work and I hope all of you know that it's true! It's all true!!
