Baptism!

Elder Nielsen and Draeko

3/19/18 - Great

This week was great! We baptized Yuri, the niece of family Bonatti!! It was so great, honestly, it was great and then I baptized Draeko. He's just incredible - talk about an outstanding kid! All in all a great week. Plus, this week we have another baptism planned and it's Dora Bonatti, the mom of Vidal Bonatii. Her family is against it - please pray for her!! This week was great because we are working a lot better with the ward and it's showing great success. We did the marriage papers for a member in our ward and he's getting married this Saturday!! I"m super excited. He's great - he's 20 and she's 21. Also, I don't think I've said this before but for the last 4 months I've been serving as the second counselor in the bishopric hahahaha. It's been a fun experience to say the least.

The Beach

"Trailblazing"

3/12/18 - 10 Out of 10 Would Do It Again

This week was really solid. We have a baptism this week - please pray for Yuri!! Nothing too crazy happened. We went to the beach again and got a little lost so we went trailblazing thru a jungle and it was great. We found a horse and a watermelon patch and saw lots of animals. 10 out of 10 would do it again.

Last week my dad asked me some questions. I thought others might be interested in the answers too so here they are:

·         What time do you get up? We get up at 6:58 every day.
·         Do you exercise every day?  What do you do to exercise? yeah I'm starting to lift weights. I have a dumbbell but mostly I just use the 20 litro water boxes that the mission gives us.
·         What do you eat for breakfast and when? We live above a little breakfast shop and we eat sandwiches of avocado and quinoa and maca and tons of smoothies - usually around 7:30 and for like 15 minutes.
·         What do you eat for lunch and when? We eat at 1 and the food here in Peru, for the most part, is excellent.
·         What do you eat for dinner and when? Around 10:30 at night and usually whatever we have lying around.
·         What is a typical day? We wake up and study, then work work work until 10 when we gotta be home, then shower and then wake up the next day and do it again.
·         What’s been the biggest surprise:
o   As a missionary? How much profound joy you can feel serving the Lord and other people.
o   Living in Peru? Peru is crazy hahahaha  I love it though.
o   Having a companion 24/7? Honestly I don't remember what it's like to be alone. I can't really answer this lol.
o   Living outside the USA? Man I'm just so grateful to live in the USA! We are all wayy more blessed than you think!

I love you all! Keep up the hard work and write me! I love you all!!!

3/5/18 - Be Someone Excellent

This week was really solid. We are working hard and doing great. We are teaching a man named Frank who is 36 but looks 23. He just got back from living in Japan for 15 years and he's soo funny. He lives with his sister in a giant house and he just sleeps and writes music all day. He has some problems though with some commandments, like the scriptures say, its not good for man to be alone. Pray for him. His family hates the church but he is really great. Pray for him that everything works out - I know he can be someone excellent.

We went to a museum today for p-day- Peru declared its independence here in Huaura!! I feel like that's a pretty big deal but honestly you would never know.

Internet is super super slow today- surprise- so I'm having a hard time. Until next week.
