5/21/18 - Shaking Like Crazy

Earthquake!! We had transfers (I stayed the same so it's all good) and Elder Horstman's comp got here really late so they had to sleep in our room. I was awakened at 6 by my bed shaking like crazy. I thought Horstman was just messing around being dumb, but it turned out it was an earthquake!! Like a really, really strong one!! The craziest part was during the earthquake Presidente Stauffer texted us asking us if we were okay. :)) Cool experience I guess.

We are working hard. We are teaching Roger and Omar - the young men from the other week. They are getting baptized this Saturday. It's been an uphill battle - they have sooo many questions and girlfriends and it's hard but we are going to win. I just know we are going to.

All in all a good week. My comp and I are getting along better, all is well. Love and miss you all. See y'all soon.

5/14/18 - Pics of the Week

Baptisms!

"I'm the giant of them."

5/14/18 - I'm The Giant

This week was really good. I hope that you all had a great Mother's Day! Mine was great - I love my mom. She's the best!!

This week we had 2 baptisms of the Family Davila. The girl is 13 and she's pumped to be a missionary. She was sad when we told her that she won't be an Elder, she'll be an Hermana, but she got over it :)

We are working hard. I had a work visit with Elder Vasquez from Puno. He's a good guy.

We played football today with Dennis and one of the districts in my zone. It's the joke that I'm the giant of them. They are all below 5' 6" and they are all companions. hahaha

5/7/18 - Pics of the Week

Baptism!

Elder Nielsen and future missionary - "he'll be great!"

5/7/18 - Conquer the World

This week was great. My first area I had pensions, or cooks, named Jonny and Glatus. I haven't seen them my entire mission. About a month ago we were walking in our area and Jonny runs over to me! He set up a time for us to go to his house and we went and started talking to his nephew. He was listing to the missionaries before but had to move and never got baptized. I baptized him last Saturday!! Dennis is the best! He is just humble and so ready to learn and conquer the world - it's great!!!

Shout out to my brother Dre for graduating - I'm super proud of you!!!!

We are working hard here in Puente - please pray for Omar y Roger. I don't know what happened but from day to night they have just gone cold. It's hard when you know how much this message would help someone and they don't accept it. I love you all a lot - keep up the good work!!!

4/30/18 - Pics of the Week

Lina was baptized!

4/30/18 - Stubborn People

This week was really good. Lina was baptized! Her boyfriend, who's a returned missionary, baptized her. It was great.

We are working hard. We are teaching like 8 young men and they are being so difficult! Man, stubborn people are so hard sometimes. They know it's all true, but they have a few commandments that they don't want to accept and it's frustrating. Pray for Roger, Omar, Alex, Gian Carlos, Jacob, Diego, Ricardo and Familia Davila.

The Book of Mormon is true. You should definitely read it sometime if you haven't already. I'm re-reading the conference talks and it's so cool that we have prophets in our day.

About 2 weeks ago a cat was stuck on the roof of the church and it couldn't get down. We made a super sketchy ladder to get it down. The cat was saved and no one died so everyone won. I included pictures this week.

I bought 15 bananas that were incredible for 3 soles, like 88 US cents. Man imma miss Peru.

4/23/18 - The Stone Cut from the Mountain

This week was good. I'm 100 percent positive this computer has more virus' than the hospital in Lima so I'm not going to use my camera this week - sorry.

I interviewed a man to be baptized. His name is Eutieniuo and he was just incredible. He has such a strong testimony and is such an amazing example to me.

We are teaching almost all young men. It's incredible!! We are teaching 3 friends and they are 17, 16, and 16 years old. They are just amazing. I love teaching them. They recognize that they need to change their lives and they want to do it and want to follow the church. It's great.

Our ward is amazing. Our bishop is the best and the presidente of the relief society is just an angel with fire towards those who do not want to help us. The presidente of the elders quorum is our best friend. He's been in the ward for 3 months and was bishop in his other ward when he moved. Our ward is looking to be split by the end of this year. The work of the Lord is moving forward"!!!! The stone cut from the mountain!!!!
